In the Pure Silence of Awareness

I was inspired to annotate this photo I took at the Disa cabin the other morning after working with todays Seven Steps Quote #6 by Ramana Maharshi…

“Many are the ills that flow from mixing with mad folks afflicted with turbid minds and rattling tongues  Best friendship is with those good men whose minds are dead and who abide in the pure silence of awareness.”

This Disa’s mind was turbid this morning and then she remembered the pure silence of awareness is where the Truth of Being can be known. Ramana reminds us that those whose minds are dead (out of thinking and being turbid) are the best friends to be in company with…. inwardly my best friend is the stillness and silence where Awareness dwells.. not in the crazy jaw flapping outer dream… where tumult is the norm.
